Humanities Methods in Librarianship–Debut Issue!

We are very pleased to announce the publication of Issue 1 of Humanities Methods in Librarianship! This new, diamond open access journal features peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, and creative work that sit at the intersection of humanistic approaches and the library profession.

The journal explicitly attempts to stake out new ground in librarianship. The assembled articles of the first issue suggest a less positivist way forward for library scholarship, one that departs from a narrowly defined social-scientific toolkit to ask other questions about librarianship and its purposes. The goal is to think more perspicaciously about libraries, and to draw on under-utilized humanities methods to better illuminate library work.

We are very happy to share these articles with you. We welcome your feedback. Please enjoy the excellent work of our Issue 1 authors!
