Library History Bibliography Database Launch!

I am excited to announce the launch of the Library History Bibliography database. Home | Bibliography of Library History, 1990-2022 (psu.edu)

This resource contains over 7,000 records for books, articles, and theses in library history.  It contains entries from the semi-annual bibliographies compiled by Ed Goedeken over three decades with more recent publications identified by David Lincove.

As you explore, keep in mind that the original bibliography contained only very brief citations.  Essentially you are searching for titles and authors only.    In the coming months I will be adding content including author abstracts as well as some controlled terms to enable searching for things like chronological period, library type, etc…

Comments, suggestions, additions, and corrections are most welcome.  I’d love to hear about additional features that would be useful.

This is so important. The Library Literature database catches so few of these. Momentous work.
