Jim McKeown, NPR reporter at KWBU-FM, probably expresses the sentiments of many of us library history enthusiasts when he writes “as much as I prize libraries—private, small, large or ancient—I can never get enough understanding of the impact libraries have had over the millennia.”  Enjoy his recent podcast and review of Likely Stories: Libraries in the Ancient World (2002) by Lionel Casson.
