Many thanks to two of our student authors who have shared their work with the blog! Tara Peace, at The University of Alabama, has written a stirring essay about the concept of neutrality in library history and the need to replace it with social justice. In an example of social justice, Aspasia Luster, at Valdosta State University, has composed a great tribute to the African-American females librarians who valiantly provided library services during the dark days of segregation and eventually helped break down that oppressive system. Find their essays in our Themes Through the Ages column.
