In Service of Equity: Essays in Honor of Kathleen de la Peña McCook [Webinar Recording]

LHRT recently hosted a webinar that brought together the authors of the Public Libraries Quarterly issue, “In Service of Equity: Essays in Honor of Kathleen de la Peña McCook,” to highlight the historical aspects that connect to her work on community building, human rights, and equity in library services.

A recording of the video is now available for download. Please click InServiceofEquity_EssaysinHonorofKathleendelaPeñaMcCook.mp4 (293.1 MB)) on the web site at https://mospace.umsystem.edu/items/dc421b23-51bd-48f7-8641-c91e94d1d9b9

As the editor of LHRT News & Notes I must add that I have had the honor of working with Dr. McCook for the past year on the Librarians We Have Lost series and other projects now featured on the blog. I cannot overstate the boost she has given the blog and the library history community. Speaking generally, she is someone I wish I could have collaborated with a long time ago. She is a joy to work with, the kind of mentor we all want, a Librarian of Librarians…she has had an indelible impact on the field and any library worker who interacts with her comes away with a renewed optimism about the field. An incredibly well-deserved webinar.
