Hello:

The American Library Association’s National Library Week is coming up on April 7-13, 2024!

The ALA Library History Round Table’s social media and blog teams are collaborating to celebrate the occasion:

>Between now and National Library Week, we’ll send out “this week in library and book history” posts each week on our social media to highlight interesting facts from the past.  Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you don’t miss the posts!

>LHRT News & NotesLHRT’s blog, will be compiling “virtual artifacts” from libraries’ past to share with our audience on a special gallery on the blog.   Virtual artifacts can consist of pictures of any of the following:

Please send pictures along with captions detailing, if possible, the name of the item, the approximate age, library where the item was found, and any other relevant or interesting facts to lhrtnewsandnotes@gmail.com

Nearly any format for the pictures (JPG, PGN, PDF) will work.  Thank you for helping us virtually preserve treasures of library history!
