Good News: LHRT Receives ALA Councilor Position

The abbreviation "LHRT" against an orange square

Greetings, Library History Round Table members and friends,

Today LHRT leadership received the August ALA/LHRT membership statistics, and they indicate that LHRT’s personal memberships comprise more than 1% of the total ALA personal memberships. That means that LHRT is entitled to its own ALA Councilor, for the first time in the memory of leadership. Members, look for Councilor candidates to appear on the LHRT election ballot in 2022.

Thanks for everyone who has worked hard to increase membership. We need to continue to increase—and diversify—our membership to ensure both the continued existence of LHRT and its representation on ALA Council. Please consider joining LHRT if you are not yet a member.
