Hi friends —

The LHRT Executive Committee will be meeting *twice* in January to attend to important round table business. These meetings will occur online. The meetings are open to all ALA members, as well as guests with an interest in LHRT’s activities.

*Meeting 1 will take place on Thursday, January 7th, 1:00-2:00 p.m. EST/12:00-1:00 p.m. CST/10:00-11:00 a.m. PST. It will focus on ALA’s Forward Together reorganization plan, the report of the LHRT Futures Committee, Library History Seminar, and other programming issues.

*Meeting 2 will take place on Thursday, January 28th, 1:00-2:00 p.m. EST/12:00-1:00 p.m. CST/10:00-11:00 a.m. PST. It will conclude any unfinished business concerning LHS and programming. It will also include “usual” midwinter business such as LHRT’s 2021/2022 budget; nominations for the Spring 2021 ballot; and an update about Libraries: Culture, History, and Society. Also, Lessa Pelayo-Lozada, a candidate for ALA President, is scheduled to spend 5-10 minutes with us.

If you would like the Executive Committee to add any items to these agendas, please let me know and send me related documents no later than Thursday, December 24th (for the January 7th meeting) and Thursday, January 14th (for the January 28th meeting). On the 24th and 14th I’ll finalize the agendas and related files to distribute to attendees.

Thanks — and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in January!
