YouTube Poster

This film will be of great interest to library history buffs! The Booksellers is a new, well-reviewed documentary about the people and treasures in the intriguing field of antiquarian book sales. As the official web site notes, the film is “both a loving celebration of book culture and a serious exploration of the future of the book.” The film includes an interview with Susan Orlean, author of the bestseller The Library Book, as well as other leading writers and sellers.

Screenings were underway at select theaters until sadly the coronavirus ended in-person viewings; however, Greenwich Entertainment is now collaborating with arthouses to offer a creative program of virtual screenings that allow interested viewers to see the film from home.

The film will also be available by Video on Demand and DVD starting June 5th, 2020.

Be enchanted by the official trailer above. And, we’ll continue to cover this story…if you’re able to attend a virtual screening or purchase the film, please consider sending a short review to News & Notes!
